About

My research employs immersive virtual reality (IVR) and the embodiment illusion to explore human perception, cognition, and behavior. My recent projects have integrated IVR with interpersonal multisensory stimulation (IMS) to study body image and body image disorders (BID) within both clinical (Anorexia Nervosa) and neurotypical populations. Currently, I am engaged in various research lines that investigate, among other topics, the correlation between Bodily Self-Consciousness and moral behavior in digital and virtual social interactions (eHonesty), the application of vicarious virtual touch for chronic pain treatment, and the impact of embodying a virtual role model in enhancing female empowerment
