Enrico Valli received the MSc degree in electronic engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, with a research thesis on System-on-Chip design techniques developed at the Electronic department of the University of Southampton (United Kingdom). After his first involvement as a software developer for the automotive company Magneti Marelli in Bologna (Italy), he joined the European Space Agency (ESA) at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk (The Netherlands), where he worked in the area of electrical design and satellite and spacecraft test support in the Test Centre Division. During the decade spent in the Space sector, he was mainly involved in the management of accredited laboratories and in the development of electronic systems for Thermal Vacuum – Thermal Balance (TV-TB) tests performed in the ESA large thermal vacuum facilities.
He is currently working at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genova (Italy) as an external collaborator, where he is involved in the management and in the development of a wearable wireless sensors technology named iFeel.
